Ningxia Eight Treasures Tea: Echoing the bustling scenes of ancient Silk Road

Eight Treasures Tea (Ba Bao Cha in Chinese) originated during the prosperous Tang Dynasty and has a history spanning more than 1,300 years. During that era, traders from various regions who traveled for trade would exchange and share local specialties from different areas, brewing them into tea to alleviate fatigue and establish bonds with fellow travelers.

Eight ingredients from across the land blend together to create Ba Bao Cha's unique flavor. A local saying about Ba Bao Cha states: "One cup in the morning brings all day's vigor; one cup as afternoon tea makes work feel light; one cup in the evening refreshes and soothes; three cups a day, an unwavering routine."
